New Blog. Same Chaos.
Once upon a time, I had a blog. A big, beautiful blog where some of my best writing lived, including a series inspired by Erma Bombeck. Then a virus swept in, brutally murdering my blog. The only way I could keep it was to pay the hosting company a stupid amount of money for the rest of my life.

I scrapped that blog, switched hosting companies, and started writing again. Some of my best writing on the new blog included letters to Ellen DeGeneres (before her secret identity as an alleged bully was discovered). I also wrote a scoliosis series, documenting my family's adventures with my infant daughter's diagnosis.
And then there was the HOA series where I made fun of people who - maybe they don't deserve it - but they definitely had it coming.

Last but not least, the star series of my blog was Diaries of a Disgruntled Cat, starring none other than the world's most disgruntled cat: Gwendolyn Anne Marie Stefani Collins Silver.

If it was inappropriate to say, think, or breathe, she did it. Unapologetically. She was the reason my readers came to my blog. But then, she died - just like my blog.

And while I know she's in heaven, giving everyone - including Jesus - a run for it. It's too hard to write about her. I forced myself to move on.
In an effort to capitalize on my writing, I started writing about things that showcased my copywriting abilities. Things that didn't really interest me - except for the butt wipes article. That was funny.

And the Spooky Savannah article I wrote for a haunted tour company that gave my mother and me a free haunted tour in exchange for writing the article. I was proud of that.
To make sure everyone visiting my website would take me seriously as a professional copywriter, I hired a graphic designer to redesign it. She did a fantastic job. And because I spent a stupid amount of money on my website, I paid a company to back it up. So when the website crashed a few weeks ago, and the hosting company (former hosting company) lost interest in trying to repair it, I thought, "No problem. I've got it backed up."

Except that every time I log into the backup company's app, it takes me to my free domain, not the paid domain, and there is no backup.

The fact that all my GIFs are different sizes and there is no known way to make them the same size is annoying.

That brings me here - to today. New blog. New hosting company. If you've made it this far, thank you!
What to Expect
Charlie Kirk's death shook me to my core. When he was assassinated, I walked around for two days in shock. I still adulted. I took care of business. But I also felt empty. I started talking to Jesus. My husband and I committed to taking our kids to church every week instead of our usual routine of only attending church for A-list events: Christmas, Thanksgiving, and that big football game at the end of January.
It was also around this time I felt convicted to give my website to Jesus. To make it something that would always glorify him - or at least that's the goal. But I'm incapable of doing anything that doesn't involve humor, sarcasm, and sass. This brings me to my next topic: angry memes and GIFs.

The cast of characters

I'm sorry this is so big. I made it on Canva.
All of my memes and GIFS dislike me. Hence the first two near the top, warning everyone I was back.
A man like Jean-Luc Picard needs no introduction - unless you don't know who he is. And if you don't know who he is, please don't say anything.
Next up is Ned Stark. One does not simply write a blog post without the occasional commentary from Ned.
Judge Judy and Dr Phil are often frustrated with me. If I'm being honest, all of my meme and GIF characters are.
In the center of everything is Jesus. Because He is at the center of everything. His presence as a meme is fairly new to my blog. I'm sure there will be times when He'll be frustrated and other times when He'll lend a sympathetic ear. In real life, He stands behind me, shaking His head. How and when He'll appear on my blog is as much a mystery to me as it is to everyone else. Expect to see Him under every category: Mom Life, Letters to Jesus, Short Stories, and even Python.
Shout-out to Grok for animating the image of my beloved Gwennie - who is also not nice to me. She's a cat.

And last but not least, the Croods. I resonate with that clueless look on Grug's face. This earned his entire family a spot on my blog.
That's a wrap!
That's it for now. And honestly, this is enough. I've been through two different blogs and hosting companies, lost a cat, introduced my memes and GIFs. Time to save something for later.
Thanks for joining me! Fair warning: if you visit other parts of my blog and find a navigation error message, it's because I haven't written anything in those categories yet.
